Go beyond bit crushing BitJuggler covers all your basic bit crushing needs, with various quantization schemes such as linear, a-law and mu-law quantization and with an optional envelope follower. In addition, the audio resampler with a variety of resampling algorithms easily produces that creative digital aliasing sound. Add musical noise BitJuggler also includes speech and transform codec simulators to accurately generate musical noise as you would get from transform codecs such as MP3 or AAC. A GSM speech codec adds spectrally shaped noise by employing linear predictive coding (LPC). Or you can keep it simple and experiment with dithering and perceptual noise shaping! Pre and post emphasis for further shaping of imperfections BitJuggler ads options for pre- and post emphasis for digital clipping, quantization and resampling to provide unique capabilities to further shape the effect of the bit crushing process. Visualize changes BitJuggler has a unique visualization feature: it will show the errors introduced by bit depth and sample rate reduction in real time.
