“ads. there’s an ad after every single level. i tolerated it at first because that’s how every clickbait game is now but it’s just annoying. i’m uninstalling this soon (i only installed it for an offer wall in episode) because this is clearly a game prioritizing money over its players.”
“Not worth it. Fun game but it’s not worth playing a level for 10 seconds then watching a 60+ second ad after each level. You’re watching ads for more time than actually playing. The ads make you open the App Store just to close it out and all that. Very frustrating.”
“Ads. The game itself is satisfying, but heavily reliant on ads, after passing a level there’s an add, when trying to unlock something you require an add. The game itself is kind of repetitive, new content or maps would be nice.”
“WAY TO MANY ADDS. You can’t go even a minute without getting an add pop up in front of you. And let’s be clear these aren’t the short little adds where you can turn away and then you’re ready to press the X ; these adds at the long ones, the ones longer than a minute. And the game concept itself is kind of fun but it’s not like a super addicting game where you play for hours for me it was just play one round and exit out of the game. Now some people may like the game how it is but there are way to many adds and I think everyone will agree with that.”
“THIS GAME SUCKS. When I was playing, the game crashed and the server said I suck at the game. Why do people think this game is good. Plus, the game doesn’t care about you, they never will. 😭😭😭”
“Respect the privacy, but damn this gets boring so quickly. I downloaded Count Masters after being bombarded with ads for similar games like Mob Control and Top War: Battle Game. I was actually excited to try it because, compared with many games in this genre, it seemed more respectful about privacy and more reasonable with microtransactions. That said, the amount of ads is still way too much. It became annoying enough that I paid about $3 to remove them. I do not regret that purchase, mainly because the developers at least seem more restrained than others when it comes to privacy and monetization. Unfortunately, the bigger issue is that the game gets extremely repetitive and boring very quickly. There was a lot of potential here, but it falls short in almost every way that could have made it engaging long term. For a game listed as 13+, this honestly feels more like a 4+ game without ads. The path choices are based on extremely simple math, the conquest map offers almost no real challenge, and the overall gameplay lacks depth. You can unlock all the skins within just a couple of hours, and the bosses are repetitive, easy, and uninspired. I really wish there had been more of a sense of challenge, progression, and competitiveness. Instead, everything runs out too fast. I completed the map, reached level 100, got to income level 37, unlocked all skins, and ended up with a huge amount of diamonds and coins that have no meaningful use. In hindsight, I should not be surprised. Looking at the update history, for the past four years it has mostly been the same vague notes: general game improvements, game balance updates, and minor bug fixes for better user experience. That explains a lot. The game has not meaningfully evolved. Also, the preview images do not fully match the actual gameplay, which adds to the disappointment. Overall, Count Masters is not terrible, but it becomes stale very fast. If you want a simple, mindless game and are willing to pay to remove ads, it may entertain you for a while. But if you are looking for something with real challenge, variety, or staying power, this is a missed opportunity.”
“Good game, but no fish food.. So, I'm a Battle Cats player. I wanted more cat food, but for some reason it didn't give me any. Seriously, didn't. So I say this is a scam.”
“Worst game ever. This game is so boring all you do is add more to the people as soon as you level up you get bored I quickly ran out of things to do 😭”
“Too many adds. There are too many adds and the game is too slow😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡”
“Monotony. A few hours later and I’ve “beaten” the game. I have all skins, buildings, and map completed. There is no satisfying scaling, no skill required, no challenge. It’s the same thing with the same outcomes, over and over and over again. Despite increasing the amount of starting units and income, it doesn’t really affect outcomes. Obstacles seem crafted to guarantee you have only have a max of 100-200 units by the time you reach the end, making everything you do somewhat pointless. After you build all the buildings, gems become meaningless, but you still earn them. I have 12k gems but there’s nothing useful about them. Completing the map means no variety, it’s the same challenge for every region. Once you complete the map, get all the skins, etc, there’s no end states, no reward, nothing. It’s visually pretty and very cute. Love the UI, sound design, haptics, and art style. I just wish it didn’t feel so empty.”
