“Ads are ruining this app. Why are there so many ads??? The ratio of ads to any type of content is out of control. I can barely see any content because there will be a solid block of 5-7 ads and then one or two genuine content and then another block of ads! This is awful and makes the experience of finding anything on the app terrible. It’s impossible to scroll down without accidentally clicking on one. And I hate looking for a pin on my board and being taken by default to “more ideas.” And then my board is also filled with more ads! Lame”

“Overrun by AI Slop. Pinterest used to be great for putting together idea boards and getting good ideas. Now it’s literally an AI slop factory. You can’t even SCROLL without the app forcing an AI suggested list of similar posts. Truly awful. The company should be taken be the shed and given the same treatment as old yeller.”

“Buggy and Flooded with Ads. App was enjoyable when the experience was a lot less stressful. Now the app is constantly flooded with ads after every pin and without fail randomly removes the search button leaving you unable to do anything but scroll. Very frustrating”

“TOO MANY ADS AND AI IMAGES. It’s actually ridiculous, there’s at least 3-4 advertisements for every 1 image on my feed, rendering the app borderline unusable. I feel devalued, clearly they’d rather use us as cash cows than to make sure their users have a good experience using their platform. Allowing AI usage with no way to at LEAST filter it out also feels hostile. I don’t want to look at slop and then be subject to marketing, I don’t feel welcome to use the app anymore.”

“THE LATEST UPDATE IS AWFUL. Oh my god why the heck did they change it so that you can’t drag your finger when pinning things??? I am now unbelievably annoyed and will not be using Pinterest until they make it an OPTION to still drag your finger when pinning items.”

“App won’t stop bugging out.. I love and have used Pinterest for as long as I could remember, as an artist it gives me a lot of inspiration for drawing when I’m in art block or need ideas. But I just can’t get it to load anymore on my iPad, which is the device I draw on, I’ve tried everything, updated, I’ve looked it up and tried toggling certain things, nothing I do is fixing this, I don’t know what to do about it and it is extremely frustrating as I cannot enjoy this app anymore, it won’t load at all, rendering it completely unusable and useless for me, I see no reason to even keep the app because of this.”

“Ruined by AI Slop. I was a longtime user and got my account disabled for saving an ad that was prompted by their website. I tried to appeal in several places but kept getting run around in circles. Years of work cataloguing my fabrics and sewing patterns have gone to waste because Pinterest doesn’t moderate their own content. Again: I saved an ad for some fabric that a vendor paid them for. In the last few years it has been overrun with ads but now it’s worse. I wish someone would make an alternative.”

“Needs to be more user friendly. Needs to enable automated access from AI apps to actually be useful in fly by situations and also have easier and more straight forward in app navigation altogether. When I find a recipe for example I have to scroll endlessly to find what I actually needs thanks to the insane number of pop ups. Beyond aggravating of an app to use. Until then, Reddit should be literally anyone’s way to go”

“actually unusable. i can’t see how other users put up with the endless ads/products. i can’t even scroll through the app without accidentally clicking on an ad!! i used to use it for online shopping, but i can’t do that either because the amount of scam websites!!”
