“UI Update. I don't write reviews. I would usually give procreate 5 stars. Your new UI is making me angry. Texture slop brushes. Where is my narinder pencil. Where are my airbrushes. Why doesn't the low opacity eraser work. WHY does EVERYTHING now require you to SCROLL OFF the feature instead of TAP. The sensistivity is so low I have to SCROLL THREE TIMES to successfully exit the canvas feature. Maybe I'm jumping the gun, but this so buns. Thanks.”
“Alright buddy.. Okay lemme say this. This feels, cramped in the WORST possible way. This doesn’t feel futuristic or modern or whatever the frik companies wanna degrade themselves into these days. And clearly ever since this update came out for pocket, the reviews tanked. May i recommend some sort of legacy layout? All the new stuff is there but now it’s in a less infuriating format. And don’t say that I will get used to it. No. I won’t. You need to jump whoever was the dumb guy who suggested this idea.”
“Good start on Duo. I have used Procreate on iPad for many years, so there is an adjustment to the feature set offered on this smaller, pocket version, but a few things that are missed or not working correctly; 1. App still registers finger drawing even though Apple Pencil is connected and setting is enabled to only register Apple Pencil for drawing. 2. Dedicated Undo and or Redo button like on iPad version please. 3. Color palettes offered are nice artistic choices, but there should be a default palette that corresponds to Apple’s default Red, Blue, Green & Yellow color options.”
“Genuinely unusable after the new update. As a longtime procreate pocket user… what even happened??? The interface is incredibly hard to navigate, all my custom and downloaded brushes have been deleted, and the app lags and glitches every two seconds. Please change it back. I can’t even draw anymore.”
“AWFUL UPDATE. Oh my god it’s almost unusable now. There’s no way to lower opacity with the layers tab closed so you can see your canvas, plus you can’t select an area to lower the opacity of anymore, it has to be the entire layer. Everything is so crammed together it feels cluttered, and the ‘glass’ sliders and menus just add extra random distraction from the canvas. It’s just so bizarre, like who asked for this”
“Horrible Update. I never leave reviews but the 5.0 update is so bad UI wise that I’m considering using a different drawing app. Absolutely ridiculous to make such a badly designed interface after years of one that worked perfectly fine. Why would anyone want the button to select brushes right above the button to exit out of the canvas. Whenever I press undo the notification at the top that says undo (so unnecessary!!) gets in the way and I cannot select anything for a second or two. Seems small until you realize a lot of artists work off of muscle memory, or you know, just move that fast. Why is part of the interface in the way OF THE INTERFACE? That’s just two of many issues. It feels counterintuitive to change the entire interface randomly.”
