“I give up. I do not know what’s going on, but I can’t get the app back because the app was not working”
“Destination is on the ________. Why’s is it impossible for gps to show what side of the road a destination is located on the directions. It shows the location many times but no way to tell which side of the road it’s on. Just freaking annoying. You could at least have the voice say it’s on the left or right. Or simple graphics when the location is on the right have the checkered icon show it on the right. Same for the left. Additional note. I have construction notifications turned off but I keep getting notifications of construction. I live in the area with a ton of construction and this is really annoying. Small note. The tone when activating the mic sounds distorted and crunchy. Need something new or allow to be changed in settings. Update. When the popup for directions shows up it take precedence over everything. Nothing else can be selected. Anyone actually reading these reviews?”
“Looks good at least. The UI of the app is very good other than that pretty much worthless. The traffic is never correct. There’s always traffic where it says they’re not or vice versa. If the traffic is actually right the time is off by so much. Every single shortcut it suggested that I’ve ever taken has added so much time on my trip.”
“Bugs galore. I don’t know what happened to the navigation giant but it is AWFUL now. Waze constantly redirects the last second making it unsafe to change lanes to find the “more optimal route” additionally the navigation has frozen several times and not updated leaving me. Further away from my destination and frustrated. There was a time where I would only use Waze for navigation as it always took me where I needed to go the fastest but no longer.”
“Not good anymore. Waze was my go to app for maps and navigation. Not anymore. It’s buggy, sluggish, hangs, and is frankly dangerous to use while driving now. Anything that disrupts a driver’s attention is a danger. Waze is now a distraction rather than a navigation aid, and I’m removing from my phone.”
“Spyware. Download this app only if you want to have Israeli spyware installed on your phone. Malaysia banned the app from being used by their country for this reason.”
“Ruined. After update it never considers traffic once you set destination, doesn’t even show you traffic highlighted in red to plan ahead. Routes on the car display are cut off and when selecting a different route it’s basically impossible on the car screen. Go back to 3 updates ago was perfect”
“CarPlay UI Bug: iPhone Duo Map Viewport & Route Clipping. Turn guidance banners, arrival time and distance remaining, and driver alert popups block the immediate navigation path and vehicle icon on Apple CarPlay. The top turn-by-turn banner and bottom alert cards extend too far into the map frame. Instead of resizing the map viewport, these UI cards overlay directly on top of the active route, obscuring the vehicle icon and blocking the immediate road path directly ahead. This makes it difficult to see upcoming turns or road positioning while driving.”
“GPS issue. Same problem- I report it and they claim they don’t have information- I will provide whatever you want but the email and inbox is no reply! I give up. I still have a gps issue where the app shows my home is 315 feet down the road when I’m actually in my garage. I did the usual with uninstall and reinstall. So I just use it for traffic here and there.”
“Red light cameras. I think the dumbest and most redundant aspect of a GPS service is incorporating on screen notifications of upcoming “red lights.” Are there any drivers on the road that are surprised by a red-light? If no, then why are there notifications that want me to click it to get it off the screen? Why does Waze allow on screen notifications for red lights.. you should just assume you’re going to see them on your drive.”
