“So many bugs/errors that last for months.. You will find issues with the interface not loading or you can’t access your money. Don’t send help, I’ve given up on this app.”

“too many ads. i’ve been using the paypal app for years. the updates from the past month are horrendous. the landing page now is 10% banking info and 90% ads for things I don’t need and didn’t ask for. they’ve missed the mark on what customers are using the app for. second, their help bot is pointless. it responds with it can’t understand. any further prompt gets the same result. not helpful at all.”

“PayPal app on iPhone. Just recently in the last 2 days the PayPal app is not working. What happened? It was working fine. Now I can’t log in. All it does now is do the scrolling thing and nothing. ** Just updated the app 10-21-26. App still not working. ** 2 updates installed, my app still doesn’t open , still does the scrolling process but doesn’t open the app after I put in my username and password. 10/28/26*. It’s been over 2 weeks since I’ve been unable to access the app.”

“Not helpful. If you purchase an item that is faulty. PayPal will require you to return the item for a refund even if the shipping is $30 to return the item. That means the seller gets to keep their item on top of you being out of ridiculous shipping costs for something that isn’t your fault. On top of that, I was told NOT to purchase a label because the seller should send me one. So for that reason I am simply closing my account and no longer purchasing off of websites unless it’s Amazon or someone I know.”

“Trash service. I deliver medical equipment to hospitals and I was out of town for a job and my boss sent me money on pay pal and I haven’t had it in years so i redownloaded it. and I have a different number and my license is at the hotel and u are required to do 2 of 3 to reset the password and i couldn’t do it in the situation I was in so now I have money I can’t touch this app is trash I never recommend. And stupid ai customer service is garbage😡”

“New layout is awful. The new layout looks like a discount strip mall and has hidden key financial functions. I now need to rely on the email notifications to know what’s going on. I got a request for money and it is not on the landing page when I go to the app. It’s two more clicks before I can even find it. Please allow configurability or revert. I have no idea what your goal is with the new landing page but it looks busy without giving me what I need.”
