“Genuinely how is it this bad?. I wish I could give it 0 stars. Buggy, doesn’t load new mail. Sorting makes no sense.”
“Broken!. I cannot login. I have tried resetting everything. It just tells me to get a number from the authenticator. But the authenticator wants me to login. For some reason, I cannot log into my Microsoft account at all. I have tried calling for Support, but your Automated AI is absolutely no help. There is no option to interact with it to actually get help. It just spews out useless information to go to the website that I’ve already been to. That is no help.”
“Unwanted banners appearing and won’t clear. Since the latest update, there are banners I can’t clear including a grey bar asking me to log into a different account, and a blue banner with ‘delete’ and ‘undo’ printed but it doesn’t respond to anything. It covers over my email text and interferes with sending/reading messages. Please fix!”
“Cumbersome. I cannot recommend Outlook. All the time when I want to read an email I need to sign in with my account credentials. Every time I want to read an email some UI element notification hides the email which then makes me move to my laptop. The flag, reply, and inbox are confusingly placed and hard to reach. It’s frustrating to use an inefficient app like that.”
“Use on iPad since update is terrible.. They made changes to layout without allowing us to be able to adjust to what we want. Just stuck with it! I know it takes smart code writes to put something like that in and Microsoft goes cheap on that end but seriously just do it right!”
“Sluggish Email Loading Times. This is an issue on both the app and web versions of Outlook. Over the last several months, the time it takes for emails to load has taken longer and longer. I’ve waited as long as 5 minutes for an email to finally load up. I’ve cleared out a lot of old emails and am still experiencing the same issue. Any way we can speed it up like it was like a year ago?”
“Ads. I used to love Outlook also because it integrated the calendar. Now that it forces ads I will stop using it. I have multiple Google accounts and none are with Microsoft. It's a small screen already and I don't need the extra clutter. So idiotic!”
“Love the interface, but…. From my experience with Microsoft, I’ve learnt that they don’t protect your privacy the way they say they do in the ToS. I had photos and pictures of peoples faces in my files from my searches. It felt infringing so I just deleted everything that wasn’t what I had downloaded. Someone was probably just singling me out, or a web developer was probably updating their website but I don’t plan on keeping a personal account with them until I change my mind on it. The interface is nice though. Google is my preference. There is no “because”. I just prefer it. If there was a “because” I’d say because of better search results and simplicity. Too many train-piercing ads though *Laugh out loud!* Also, another thing is that my school account is integrated into my personal account. When you do this, it causes technical problems such as making my school organization’s login the designated sign-on page for both emails. This complicates convenient access. The app crashes as well. When I open an email on Outlook, the app closes. When will Microsoft fix these issue?”
“👎to the latest update. I do not like the relocation of the delete icon requiring a pop up to use it. Until this change I would give a 5 star rating.”
“Unable to switch accounts. This app is useless if you have a work AND a university email. It won’t let you switch between the two even if you log in separately. I try to log into my work one and it has all my work credentials and then tells me cannot log in as this is not a part of the university. It is so frustrating.”
