“Worst Streaming Provider. The app and streaming sucks. WORST place to watch a live sporting event. Ultra glitchy, choppy. Relentless ads. Every time I watch something on Prime I am just annoyed”
“Amazon feels more like eBay these days. Order the Kindle as a gift for a family member, said it would arrive with plenty of time, ordered week in advance now, two weeks, and still has yet to ship over two weeks later says available for next day delivery through prime. I have since canceled my Kindle plus subscription and Amazon prime. Soon to cancel my prime credit card. Talk to customer service. No resolve. No empathy.”
“Just pirate. If there is anything you are interested in seeing on this platform, pirate it or buy it elsewhere. The app does not work 80% of the time. Maybe if these absolute morons wouldn’t use AI to code, it would work better. But you know who doesn’t use AI still? Pirate sites. Use them. You can find them extremely easily.”
“Won’t load on iPad. I would rate it 3 or 4 stars if the app worked and loaded consistently across my devices, but it won’t. Yes I’ve tried updating the app and my devices; as well as resetting and relogging to no avail. Get it together Amazon. I’m paying you for a service you won’t let me use, so I won’t be paying for much longer.”
“Search sucks. The search is absolutely atrocious. It doesn’t even pull up results for movies I HAVE IN MY LIBRARY. I have to hunt it down by clicking through EVERY PURCHASE I’VE EVER MADE in My Stuff which takes FOREVER because god forbid they put a search feature there (though it probably wouldn’t work well anyway) There are more glitches and issues on Prime Video than I’ve experienced with other related apps. This is just the most egregious issue.”
“Amazon Video is great but needs longer substantial seasons.. - First of all let me say this The Wheel Of Time ! Excellent series very upset we no longer can see the finale. However if Amazon had longer seasons and completed series I would give them number 1 spot unfortunately we don’t get that bang we really want… We need more consistency, and more commitment to a complete series from the start. When ratings get bad the season will become shorter. Put the money in the customers hands to control what we really like, use the main stream media and recommendations for top rated movies in this category… more organization with suggestions also. Honest feedback. Moral of the story Amazon Video is messy! CLEAN IT UP AND GIVE US MORE COMPLETED SERIES. That’s all we ask.”
“I’m tired of these greedy corporations. Prime Video Has Lost Sight of What Customers Are Paying For I rarely write reviews, but my frustration with Prime Video has finally pushed me to speak up. Prime Video used to be one of my favorite streaming services. It still has an impressive library of shows and movies, and there is no denying the quality and variety of content available. Unfortunately, the experience of actually watching that content has deteriorated to the point where I can barely enjoy it. The constant ads are absolutely ridiculous. Being interrupted every 10–15 minutes turns what should be an enjoyable, relaxing experience into a nonstop battle against commercials. It completely breaks immersion, disrupts the flow of a story, and makes it feel as though the content itself has become secondary to the platform’s advertising revenue. Worse, it creates the impression that the only way to reclaim a reasonably uninterrupted viewing experience is to pay even more for a higher-priced subscription. Whatever happened to the idea that paying for a service meant receiving a service worth paying for? Streaming platforms have spent years attracting customers by offering an alternative to traditional television: more convenience, more control, and fewer interruptions. Now, it feels as though many of these companies are gradually recreating the very experience people originally wanted to escape. Subscription prices rise, advertisements multiply, and customers are increasingly asked to pay extra just to get back the experience they thought they were already purchasing. At some point, enough has to be enough. Prime Video is a multibillion-dollar business with an enormous customer base and a valuable content library. How much more does a company need to extract from its customers before it recognizes that there is a limit? We are already paying for access. Why should we have to tolerate an increasingly frustrating experience on top of that? This isn’t just about Prime Video, either. It’s about a broader trend across streaming services: steadily increasing costs, more interruptions, and the expectation that consumers will simply accept whatever changes are imposed on them. And perhaps the most frustrating part is that these companies can continue doing this because we keep paying. We complain, we get frustrated, and then we renew our subscriptions anyway. As long as the money keeps coming in, there is little incentive for these platforms to reconsider their decisions. The most effective way to make your dissatisfaction heard is to change your spending habits. Consider canceling the subscriptions that no longer provide enough value to justify their cost. Read a book. Explore the world around you. Pick up a new hobby. Spend time doing something that doesn’t require another monthly payment or another interruption from an advertiser. There is more to life than an endless cycle of subscriptions, screens, and carefully targeted commercials. This isn’t about hating technology or refusing to pay for good entertainment. Quality content deserves to be supported, and businesses deserve to make a profit. But there is a difference between offering a valuable service at a fair price and continually asking customers to pay more while delivering a progressively worse experience. Profit should not come at the expense of the very customers who make that profit possible. I genuinely like many of the shows and movies Prime Video offers. But I like my time, my money, and my peace of mind more. My limited free time is valuable, and I refuse to treat it as an unlimited resource for companies to monetize through increasingly aggressive advertising. If enough customers decide that the deal is no longer worth it and cancel, companies will eventually have to pay attention. Not because of angry reviews, online arguments, or empty complaints, but because their revenue will reflect the choices consumers make. We are the customers. We are the ones paying the bills. And we have the power to decide what we are willing to accept. Prime Video, and every other streaming platform heading in this direction, should remember one simple thing: customer loyalty is earned, not guaranteed. You can have the best content library in the world, but if the experience becomes frustrating enough, people will eventually decide that it isn’t worth the price. I hope more people begin to question whether these subscriptions are genuinely adding value to their lives. If they aren’t, cancel them. Take your time back. Take your money back. Find something better to do with both. Companies respond to incentives. If we keep rewarding decisions that make our experience worse, we shouldn’t be surprised when those decisions continue. The moment we stop paying for a service that no longer serves us, we remind these corporations of a fundamental truth: they depend on us far more than we depend on any single streaming platform. It’s time we started acting like it.”
“Garbage App, Amazon Should Be Ashamed. Can’t download videos on this app. No reason. Support is completely useless. The problem has persisted for 6 months. Completely and utterly unacceptable.”
“Sucks. This app sucks as a live sports streaming platform. It lags to load and the video doesn’t keep playing in the background all the time”
“Billy Bob$12’s review is right. several times is asked and asked but they continue to ignore why oh why can they not just fix bugs without ignoring customers complain the more people pay the more ignore people when there are bugs that need resolution if people keep up with subscriptions they can’t fix the bugs time now that stop this paying of expensive subscriptions so they can listen to customers finally it’s about money for them so until we reducing paying for endless subscription they can’t take notice to the important things that need to be resolved in the app i will no longer say anything i’ve said my piece.”
