“Absolutely unacceptable service. NEVER rely on Bolt if you have a flight to catch!. I booked a taxi IN ADVANCE for an important international flight. At the very last minute, the driver simply cancelled my reservation, leaving me stranded with no transportation to the airport. Because of Bolt’s failure, I was forced to urgently find another taxi at a significantly higher price, while risking missing my flight. And the worst part? Their customer support is a complete joke. Instead of helping, they told me to enable geolocation, even though my pickup address was clearly specified. Then they asked for screenshots of an “error” and repeatedly asked me to explain what happened. There was NO technical error. YOUR DRIVER CANCELLED A CONFIRMED BOOKING! What is the point of offering scheduled rides if customers cannot rely on them? Bolt takes absolutely no responsibility when things go wrong. Their support is useless, their advance booking system is unreliable, and their apologies mean nothing. I will never trust Bolt for an important trip again. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, DO NOT use Bolt for airport transfers.”

“SCAM and RUDE SUPPORT. The app over charged me with $9 … i contacted support they said thats for wait time and there WAS NO WAIT TIME and the support was rude ‼️ i am asking for the tip back and for the $9 i will dispute it with my bank … DON’T TRUST BOLT !!!!!!!!!!”

“Deceptive Driver. I had only used Bolt once before which happened to be the prior day. That experience was great. The next day in Lisbon, Portugal I requested an 8 passenger van because of our luggage and there were 4 of us. The 8 passenger van was more than sufficient. The driver arrived, we were at the Lisbon airport, and loaded 4 of our 6 large bags in the back of the van and said that was all of the luggage he could carry. That left 2 medium suitcases and 4 carryon he was refusing to load. He said it was against the law to carry luggage in the passenger compartment. After costing us 9.24 euro more for wait time while we negotiated the ride, he finally decided to do as I recommended, use the empty space in the passenger compartment to place our bags. He was being deceptive. Later after I got home I researched the Law in Lisbon about the luggage and I found that was a lie by the driver. I contacted Customer Support at Bolt and they wouldn’t even let me continue giving them information. They closed the case after their canned answer and that was the end of that. I just requested my account to be closed and deleted the app. I should have used Uber. Beware of deceptive drivers.”

“The id check is ridiculous. The id check system is barely working, collecting so many biometrics so often with so many bugs makes the car-sharing option hardly usable.”

“Please fix your stuff. Last night, we tried to use the app to take us to a restaurant. Somehow, the driver that was supposed to pick us up got instructions to pick us up streets away from where we had told the app we were. We had given the app, the address exactly of where we were standing. We were notified that that was a no weight zone, and to be prepared to get into the car. We were there. The driver stopped streets away, and said that they were at the original starting point. They were not. We finally got another driver, and the destination he took us to Waz not the destination we had put into the app. He wanted to drop us off in some back alley that was not our Destination. It took an extra five minutes to actually find the restaurant, despite the directions that Bolt had given him, and then we were charged extra for extra time! This was not our fault, and we shouldn’t have had to pay for this. Instead of calling Bolt again, we walked back to our hotel Today, there was an update. Let’s hope that they solved the problem. We’re not sure we’ll use it though.”

“Failed at the one thing it’s supposed to do. Made a reservation for pickup the day before my international flight. Car didn’t show at the scheduled time and canceled, with no notification at all from the app. Unable to get a driver after another 20 minutes of trying to replace. Had to scramble to take public transport. Unclear if I’ll make my flight.”

“Not the correct driver. Said two minute pickup but it was 9 and he was all over on the map. Wrong bike ad listed, wrong driver as listed. Tried to drop me off at international because he said he didn’t know where domestic was.”
