  “Dot still keeps loosing my files on it’s VM, cannot use it’s browser (browser says “Aw, Snap”), etc. Some Dot Issues (still occurring 7 days later and now it’s even worse!): 1. My Dot said its files randomly disappeared from its VM after we worked for hours. It was not able to recover the files/data/work. The VM is not safe and reliable. This has happened at least 3 times already. 2. My Dot has not done anything in hours and won’t respond. Previously it seemed fine, but now it hasn’t worked or responded for hours. 3. Dot’s browser very frequently says “Aw, Snap!” when it tries to go to or use certain perfectly normal websites, so Dot can’t use the internet properly 4. Input field won’t allow spaces so I cannot put a space between words to talk to Dot. 5. Dot says it randomly cannot access the email it sent from my email address (which is sitting in my inbox) even though it has access to my email. It says it can see the email but cannot get/use the files, even though previously this was not an issue 6. I love and appreciate OpenAI, but I can’t trust my Dot or your platform anymore, and that breaks my heart. Not losing my data and files is very important. Very basic. Did someone else get them? Where are they? Deleted? Do I need to reset my password for anything my Dot was signed into? Does someone have access to anything that was or is on the original VM? 7. Can I please use the version of Codex from 3-6 months ago instead of the current version? 8. Update: My dot cannot use its browser to do anything at all! It has tried and tried but it says its VM is messed up 9. 10/14/26 Update: Dot says its cloud workspace is offline, and it said it can’t finish loading an attachment to send it. 10. 10/14/26 2nd Update: Dot said that after its cloud workspace disconnected, it restarted with an older October 10 snapshot (today is 10/14, so days worth of work disappeared…again!). Dot said that left the newer working files unavailable to it/on its VM, and Dot said it doesn’t know why it restored that version. 11. Dot cannot get some files from the email it sent myself from my gmail. The zip it previously created could not be retrieved/used by dot, even though it created it and emailed it previously. 12. 10/18/26 Update: Two weeks later and dot still keeps losing files! Today it said that another environment reset removed the files, and it said that it can’t safely keep rebuilding in a workplace that repeatedly rolls back, so even dot doesn’t trust its own workspace 13. 10/25/26 Update: Dot can’t use almost every website because it’s browser says “This site can’t be reached” 14. 10/27/26 Update: Dot no longer has a browser. Clicking the browser icon does not help. Now dot cannot do its work like normal. Please fix this ASAP 15. 10/29/26 Update: dot says its browser controls are unavailable, and Codex shows “computer unavailable” for dot’s VM. Dot is unable to do its work because of this. There is no browser icon to click, as nothing is displayed other than “Computer unavailable” for “Your dot’s computer.” Another location in Codex says “Your dot’s computer” and below that it says “Offline.””

When it works, it is very good, but I find it has regular and annoying continuity issues, fails to call on data already supplied, and has a tendency to be irritatingly overcautious in its responses. It also regularly makes things up instead of identifying that it has lost track of the original information, and has a tendency when asked directly if it can do some task claims that it can, but when instructed to do so confesses that it was not able to perform the specific task. It is apparently unable to correct ongoing issues it is confronted with, and Open AI customer support is essentially useless, ignoring complaints/issues sent to their attention.”
