Specific beats generic.
Enter a phrase that describes a real job or outcome. “Budget planner” tells the score far more than “best free app”.
- 2–3 words
- One clear intent
- No brand names
Opportunity is demand minus friction, filtered through relevance.
Why specific phrases help
A focused phrase tells you more about the job someone wants done. That makes your listing more coherent and competitor research more useful. It doesn't automatically mean high search volume, which is why the free tool calls demand an estimate.
What to check next
Look at the apps that rank, their ratings and momentum, differences between countries and rank history. A phrase with attractive intent can still be a poor target if established apps dominate or demand is too small to matter.
