The verification code can be generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone, even if you don't have a network or cellular connection. • Sync your Authenticator codes to your Google Account and across your devices. This way, you can always access them even if you lose your phone. • Set up your Authenticator accounts automatically with a QR code. This is quick and easy, and it helps to ensure that your codes are set up correctly. • Support for multiple accounts. You can use the Authenticator app to manage multiple accounts, so you don't have to switch between apps every time you need to sign in. • Support for time-based and counter-based code generation. You can choose the type of code generation that best suits your needs. • Transfer accounts between devices with a QR code. This is a convenient way to move your accounts to a new device. To use Google Authenticator with Google, you need to enable 2-Step Verification on your Google Account. To get started visit http://www.google.com/2step

“Help. Confusing. I can’t even get a QR code and the codes to enter don’t work”
“Stop asking me. To review your MVP app.”
“Absolute trash app.. I downloaded to use with instagram. Copied the key code from instagram and logged into my google accounts. Then it randomly generates a 6 digit code on a quick time limit to be entered on instagram. 6 digit code with a space in between. I’ve copied the code directly and pasted as quickly as a could. Even typed the code manually. Doesn’t work. Tried dozens of times. Every time it says “this code isn’t right. Please try again” I’m entering the exact code with plenty of time before expiring. Also, cannot enter the code as shown with a space because not enough spaces available to enter on instagram.”
“Don’t use if you’re not 100% confident in what you’re doing. The entire process for setting up the Google authenticator is not intuitive and the instructions are not easily accessible. Plus, it doesn’t warn you that when you set up this kind of two factor authentication that you will no longer be able to access your account in other ways that you were used to. Especially if you don’t have a second device. There are many people with only one device out there and for those of you who do not have a second device, you will be locked out of your account if you set this up. This little fact should be included on the pages where one makes the decision to start to factor authentication because it’s not listed anywhere and it’s really hard to get out of once you make that mistake.”
“Not enough time. Im tool old and slow”
“More detailed release notes please. How did this app go for years without updates to needing one every month? Please add helpful release notes so we know what’s being updated.”
